Amy Wood is the author of Axelrod: My Journey Home children's book and Special Education Teacher. She lives in Connecticut and Florida with her fiance, Frank, her children, Abby and Sarah, and their cat, Axelrod, and German Shepherd, Sydney. Her son, Jacob, attends college in Vermont.
Her Debut Book
Amy's debut children's book, Axelrod: My Journey Home, was inspired by her real rescue cat Axelrod, who she adopted in 2022 after he spent the first three years of his life homeless. The story celebrates resilience, second chances, and the bond between rescue animals and the people who love them.
